SUMMARY

Born in 1954 in Darwin, Australia, Andrew is the son of Greek Immigrants. He is married to wife Paula, and has three adult children, Nicholas, Alexandra, and Anthony. A recognized global business leader with more than 42 years at Dow, Andrew believes in the criticality of manufacturing and advocates for a just worldwide energy transition. In 2014, Andrew was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia. In 2018, Dr Liveris and his wife Paula gave a historic $13.5 million to the University of Queensland to establish the Andrew N. Liveris Academy for Innovation and Leadership, with a vision to nurture the next generation of emerging leaders to deliver innovative solutions to the world’s greatest challenges.

  • 1975 - Bachelor's degree from the University of Queensland in Chemical Engineering with first-class honours. Awarded the University Medal

  • 1995 - Appointed Fellow of The Institute of Chemical Engineers
